Women and Cardio Machine
Wednesday, January 20, 2010 2:10When you get into a gyms, and you will probably be the same scenario, mostly men in the free weights and machines or partitions, weighing equipment, and the majority of women on the cardio machine. This reminds me of high school dances, when the hall will be divided into as well as boys on one side, girls on another, until the teacher came up and encourage research on the other side. I would like to be that teacher that encourages women to take that walk on the floor gym and explore the world of weights. The greatest misconception women have about lifting weights is that they “get big”, ie achieve muscle hypertrophy. Unlike men, women usually do not get the size from strength training, because compared with men, women from 10 to 30 times smaller than the hormones that cause muscle hypertrophy. You, however, develop muscle tone and definition. We are!
Other reasons for and benefits of strength training are:
Loss of Body Fat
Fighting depression
Improve your attitude
Changes physically stronger
Improve your athletic performance
Reducing the risk of osteoporosis
Reduce the risk of injury, arthritis, back pain, heart disease. and diabetes.
Knowledge is power. Developed with weights in the gym (especially Co-Ed Gym) can be intimidating. If you feel a lack of knowledge and confidence prevents you from benefiting from training to hire a personal trainer. Meet with your coach as often as your schedule and finances allow, 2-3 times per week, 1-2 sessions per week, 1 session per week, 2 sessions per month.
Weight training is a reliable way for women to achieve toned, healthy, strong and energetic bodies. Why do not you become a judge? Come on ladies, that walk on the floor gym and pick up a pair of weights
